November, 2004

Our plans for a November hiking outing got changed when we realized it was deer season – we didn't want to be dodging bullets in the woods, but all the Council properties were closed that weekend. The solution: we camped in the no-hunting Rockwood Reservation conservation area near to town, and drove down to Forest Park for the Council-sponsored World's Fair hike in the city. This was a big change from most of our outings, and the Scouts seemed to enjoy it.
