Our first campout after new Scouts' crossing over from Webelos was held at Beaumont Scout Reservation. In the morning we drove to the Missouri Dept. of Conservation's neighboring Jay Henges Shooting Range & Outdoor Education Center. All the Scouts got a chance to shoot .22 rifles several times as well as shoot archery at 3-D targets. (Thanks to certified rifle instructor Mr. McMillian who made it possible!) In the afternoon the new Scouts earned their Firem'n and Totin' chits with the help of the older Scouts. It was a cold weekend that earned us a freeze-out.
