Current River Float Trip August, 2003 We floated the Current River from Baptist to Akers to Pultite over two days during the week in August. The river was great -- clear and clean. And cold from many springs feeding it. It was a much different river from last year's Meramec. Being farther from the city and not on a weekend, we had the whole river practically to ourselves.
